Samsung Interactive Self-Service Stand

Samsung Interactive Self-Service Stand
INTERACTIVE KIOSK - 2017 | SAMSUNG

Upon Samsung S8 phone launch, Samsung approached 2359 Media to do an interactive stand together with Cheil Singapore. The idea was to create a self-service stand that has all their top products integrated into a master app that allows customers to approach and interact with the products in just one touch. This will let users experience the key selling points of each products personally, whereas Samsung will be able to showcase their products efficiently without needing storekeepers to assist the customers.

The app in Samsung S8 is connected to the Gear headset, Samsung Smart Watch and most interestingly; Samsung Gear VR. We wanted to connect the Samsung 360 camera, but we were not able to due to technical limitations.

The whole end-to-end process was done by us and Cheil. It was full of fun, fruitful discussions and workshops together.
After rounds of inputs and alterations from all parties, we decided to go with the design below. The mobile app screen will have 5 screens that keeps rotating until someone interacts with them; and one of the four product panels will light up according to the product shown in the mobile app.

Instructions will appear when customer taps on Start to Play button, and they will be asked to wear and interact with the devices that has been chosen.

The stand was showcased in Samsung store at Westgate, Singapore for 2 months.
The final design of Samsung self-sufficient stand.
Here are a few of the previous wireframes and versions of the design.
